Bad Mommy

If the blog world had child services, they would most likely be reprimanding me right now. This precious blog-baby of mine has not gotten much attention for the past month. But that's what 3 AP and 2 Honors does to you. GREAT.
Well, two out of my past three weekends have sucked. Teaching project for one, 4-5 page essay for another. But in between, for Labor Day, la familia y yo made a trip down to Key West (for me it was the first time). Let me tell you, it was so nice to get away from everything, especially school (although I did bring 3 text books with me, but that's besides the point).
The drive down was beautiful, and so was watching the sunset both nights. Our room wasn't too shabby either. Here's some pictures from the trip, including some of my outfits..........

A random kitty when we stopped for lunch in Key Largo. He was kinda cute, but I'm not really a cat person......

My mom and I kinda had a thing for this car. It was seriously only like two feet wide.

Here's a better view of my outfit on day 1.

shirt- forever 21

tank- hanes boys

shorts- levis

belt- forever 21

watch necklace- coach

shoes- sperry topsiders

The sunset was gorgeous. Dad helped me out on this picture, due to my lack of height.

On Sunday we ordered room service for breakfast. It was sooooooo good! I ordered waffles :)

Is this not the most delicious-looking fruit ever?

My mom gave me this jumper from the Gap. I wanted to wear it, but didn't know how to not look like a little kid/frumpy. The belt cinched at the waist seemed to do the trick.

Here's a close up. Underneath I put this leopard bra top.

The pictures for this outfit were all taken around the "Little White House", where President Harry Truman lived when he was doing work in Key West.

dress- Gap

necklace- thrift

bra top- rampage

belt- DKNY

sandals- old navy

sunglasses- vintage ray-ban

bag- target

Hopefully it won't take me another month to get some free time and post again, but we'll just have to see. My pillow is calling my name, so goodnight to all.

fixed

Wore this to lunch at the original pancake house with my best friend. Random, but I thought it would be a good experiment with a vest.

Photobucket shorts: American Eagle Outfitters
tank: Old Navy
vest: Richard Chai for Target
key necklace: ?
long necklaces: Marshalls (american eagle)
sandals: Target
belt: Target, men's section

One picture is with a small key necklace, and the other is with some longer layers of necklaces. I personally like the longer necklaces better, but that's just me.
That tank top now has tye dye spots all over it, which reminds me that I need to buy a new one.
If you haven't noticed, I'm OBSESSED with these sandals. I got them at Target for maybe like $20, and I wear them with everything. I also have them in white, but the black patent ones are my favorite.
Nite.

Artsy Chic?

Photobucket

dress: american eagle outfitters

leggings: simply vera vera wang, kohl's

sandals: old navy

cami (underneath): rampage, tj maxx

twilight necklace: from my best friend

I wore this outfit on Saturday to a friend's house. We watched American Pyscho and Newsies. Notice a pattern?

Christian Bale. And my friend is in love.

American Psycho was a little much for me at times, since some of the scenes were........not exactly PG-rated. But there was something about it that was brilliant. I guess I got some symbolic meanings out of it. At times it was funny, at others it was disturbing, but it was interesting to watch. Even though dad didn't seem to apporove.

Newsies I could have done without, but we were talking at the same time, so I wasn't paying that much attention. I'm just not that in to musicals.

Back to my artsy chic outfit. I call it that because my friend told me I looked like I was about to go paint something. I thought that was kinda funny.

It is one of my favorite, easy chic outfits, and it is soooooo comfortable. And a little secret? I was wearing a fabulous leopard print cami underneath.

edit

And to finish off? As you can see, the pink hair has been reduced. Since I got a letter from school informing me that pink hair was not "acceptable", I was forced to take measures that made it less "POW!" So I dyed half back to its almost natural state. Because let's face it, they will never match it exactly.

And right at this very moment, my hair is actually half pink, half purple. The pink was starting to fade, and all I wanted to experiment with the purple I had at home. I'm not as satified, so when I get a chance I'll run over to Sally to buy some pink for touch-ups.
